The Vrbetice case and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in selected foreign press
Mazúchová, Sára ; Nečas, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Jirků, Jan (referee)
The subject of the thesis is the media coverage of the Vrbetice case and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline dispute in 2021 by British and American newspapers. In the content I look for manifestations of the so-called new cold war frame. The theoretical part of the thesis begins with the concept of framing, continues with the birth and characteristics of the cold war in the media and ends with a description of the events of interest: the Vrbetice case and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline dispute. The analytical part consists of a qualitative textual analysis in the spirit of grounded theory and a quantitative content analysis, which is partly based on the initial qualitative research. The research observes both strong and weak manifestations of the new cold war frame. The strong aspects include the construction of a world dichotomy and the emphasis on the role of the United States as the main actor of the media content. On the other hand, the occurrence of specific cold war designations, historical analogies, direct use of the phrase "cold war" and condemning generalisations towards Russia were marginal in the articles. Finally, the thesis concludes that the new cold war frame does not dominate media coverage of the two events, but only uses some of its aspects.
Definable graphs
Grebík, Jan ; Chodounský, David (advisor) ; Kurka, Ondřej (referee) ; Zapletal, Jindřich (referee)
In this thesis we consider various questions and problems about graphs that appear in the framework of descriptive set theory. The main object of study are graphons, graphings and variations of the graph G0. We establish an approach to the compactness of the graphon space via the weak* topology and introduce the notion of a fractional isomorphism for graphons. We use a variant of the G0-dichotomy in the context of the classification problem. Finally, we show a measurable version of the Vizing's theorem for graphings. 1

Relations in the Region: exploratory study of political-administrative relations in regional public administration
Zápotocká, Veronika ; Müller, Karel (advisor) ; Vymětal, Petr (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with topic of political-administrative relations in Czech Republic only a little elaborated. The main aim of the thesis is to understand and find characteristic features of political-administrative relations in the region with the smallest and largest fluctuation of the regional political leader in Czech Republic. The work in research exploits the information from the previous knowledge and the already established theory of politico-administrative relations, which are significantly differentiated and varied and also offers data from its own empirical research carried out at the regional offices. After the theories of J. D. Aberbach et al., F. Schreues et al., G. Peters and especially the main theory of P. E. Mouritzen and J. H. Svara are presented, the author presents the findings of the qualitative research in the last chapter and tries to include them into these theories and typologies, and to specify the nature of the relations examined at the regional level and to draw attention to their possible influences and consequences on the functioning of regional polity.
